Browse H-1B Visa Data

PlainVisa indexes every H-1B Labor Condition Application filed with the U.S. Department of Labor from fiscal year 2023 through 2026 , 1,885,316 petitions across 119,880 employers. Use the categories below to navigate employers, states, occupations, metros, USCIS processing times, and US embassy wait times.

Methodology

PlainVisa compiles its H-1B database directly from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) Performance Data portal. We download the quarterly LCA disclosure files for fiscal years 2023 through 2026, normalize employer names and worksite addresses, geocode locations to states and CBSA metro areas, and link occupations to Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes.

Counting rules. Each row in the DOL disclosure file represents one Labor Condition Application, which can cover multiple worker positions. Petition counts reported here match the DOL row count; worker counts reflect the position count on each LCA. Certification rate is calculated as certified petitions divided by total petitions with a final disposition (excluding withdrawn and pending).

Wages. Salary figures reflect the offered wages listed on each LCA, not actual compensation paid. Under DOL rules, the offered wage must meet or exceed the prevailing wage for the occupation and worksite at one of four wage levels (I entry through IV fully competent). Median and percentile figures are computed across LCAs with non-null wage fields.

USCIS processing times are fetched from the official USCIS Processing Times tool (egov.uscis.gov). Embassy wait times are fetched from the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs Global Visa Wait Times tool (travel.state.gov). Both are refreshed monthly.
